Join Oklahoma State University department of Design, Housing and Merchandising on this 12-day multi-city custom tour. Along with the historical and cultural richness of the cities we will be visiting, the proposed trip is educationally important, as the focus of the trip is on the use of sustainable practices in design innovation. While these three European cities all have exceptional historical traditions in innovation and design, they also share a common bond through the impact of WW II on the resilience in their cultural traditions, as well as forward thinking practices in housing, the decorative arts and apparel design. EF College Study Tours, an internationally recognized educational travel company with local tour guides in each city will lead the tour and we will be visiting unique sites in the three cities such as the medieval Kronburg Castle outside of Copenhagen (reported to be the setting for Shakespeare’s Hamlet), cultural iconographic symbols such as the Berlin Wall and international treasures such as Prague’s Charles Bridge and the one of a kind, century’s old Prague astronomical clock. In addition, the group will tour the iconic Bauhaus design school site outside of Berlin. Please join us in May 2019 for a truly unique experience, and prepare to be swept away by the inherent beauty and grandeur of this three world-class European cities. For more information, contact Dr. Emily Roberts at email@example.com. The deadline to apply is February 1, 2019.
