IDEC Academy Call for Workshop Proposals

IDEC 2019 Annual Conference, Charlotte, North Carolina
DEADLINE: SUNDAY, OCTOBER 21, 2018
The IDEC Academy Board invites proposals for continuing education workshops to be offered on March 3, before the 2019 Annual IDEC Conference in Charlotte. The IDEC Academy Board encourages workshop proposals that are interactive and support teaching and/or professional development.
All submissions must be made through the online submission form. The online submission process provides detailed instructions regarding proposal content and format. Only those proposals submitted through the online process will be accepted for review. Submissions that do not satisfy all requirements will not be considered for review.
REVIEW PROCESS AND NOTIFICATION
Workshop proposals will undergo a peer review led by the IDEC Academy Board and will be evaluated on relevance, impact, approach, and expertise. Presenters will be notified via email on November 16, 2018 whether the proposal is accepted or not.
DEADLINES AND SCHEDULE
Sunday, October 21, 2018: Proposals received no later than 11:59 Pacific Standard Time
Friday, November 16, 2018: Email notice of whether the proposal is accepted or not with comments from reviewers
Monday, January 14, 2019: Workshop handouts, presentation and assessment materials due
Tuesday, March 5, 2019: Preconference workshops
REGISTRATION FEE WAIVER
One presenter for each workshop selected for presentation at the conference will be granted a conference registration fee waiver if 20 or more participants pre-register.
