Louisiana State University, College of Art and Design - Paris Program, Fall 2019
16 Week Fall Semester in Paris, France
The city of Paris offers a richly layered framework from which to engage questions critical to design explorations. The city is a compendium of many centuries of endeavors to construct the built environment around a constantly changing context. With many cultural resources, Paris represents a unique urban classroom in which to be immersed. As a living classroom, Paris has the capacity to change the preconceptions of space making practices and expand the notion of human experience in the urban context.
The School of Interior Design and the College of Art and Design are pleased to announce the Fall Semester Paris Program. During Fall 2019, we will offer a sixteen-week, 12 credit hour design curriculum. The coursework will enable students to engage in the built environment of Paris, testing observations through design work. Field studies, course travel, and housing will be coordinated through the administrative staff at the CEA Paris Center. The CoAD Paris Program will supply students with a rigorous academic environment that combines field studies, studio design work, and seminars with supplemental day trips into the surrounding region. Students will also have the option to expand their travel in Europe during 3-day weekends.
Deadline to apply is May 1, 2019.
