That discourse is increasingly augmented by what we teach future designers and the inclusion of environmental-responsibility, social justice, evidence-based deign, health, and global issues

Sunday – October 8th

Dinner on your own prior or after
5:00 PM Transportation provided from hotels to Waking/Hiking Locations
5:30-7:00 PM (Option A) Meet and greet at Moses Cone - Hiking from Moses Cone to Bass Lake (easier hike, wear walking shoes)
5:30-7:30 PM (Option B) Meet and greet Rough Ridge Trail Hiking (harder hike, wear appropriate clothing and shoes)
7:00-7:30 PM   Transportation provided from Bass Lake and Rough Ridge to hotels


Monday – October 9th 

9:00-10:00 AM Transportation provided from hotels to Plemmons Student Union (PSU) 
Parking is extremely limited on campus so we strongly recommend you use the shuttles.  The only parking is in the Rivers Street Parking Deck for $10 a day and it is a short walk up hill to the PSU..  The Appalcart bus is a free bus in Boone and many of their routes go to or near the PSU.  Maps of campus can be found at: https://maps.appstate.edu/ and Appalcart bus routes at: https://www.appalcart.com/
