- At the study abroad opportunity through Santa Reparata International School of Art in Florence, Italy, students will select a mix of classes that include architecture and design courses and a diverse range of electives that can support the content they are missing from their home institutions. Cynthia Mohr, FIDEC, will lead the tours in the fall or spring semesters, beginning in 2018. Internships and cooperative education experiences with local businesses are also available. Application deadline is November 1. For more information, email firstname.lastname@example.org or Cynthia.email@example.com.
- This full-time (12 credits), semester-long program offers three touring/history classes and one ID 4th year studio (5 credits). Students will spend 10 weeks in London, one week in Berlin and one week in Helsinki. Studio will involve five short assignments that draw on each city's vibrant context, while one class will focus on touring the cities, one will focus on keeping a travel journal and one will be a Material Culture course, which will take advantage of the many museum resources. Some of the major and minor site visits include the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Tate Modern, the British Museum, the Bauhaus archives, Schloss Charlottenburg, the Altes Museum, the works of Alvar Aalto and the Saarinens. Application deadline is August 31, 2017. For more information, contact Mark Hinchman, Interior Design Program College of Architecture University of Nebraska Lincoln.
