The Journal of Interior Design seeks to mentor student authors and celebrate their achievements. A new Graduate Student Research Award has been established to acknowledge quality scholarship and presentation skills at the IDEC Annual Conference. To be considered for the award, the following conditions must be met:
- The student must be a member of IDEC;
- The research must be the primary effort of the graduate student AND the research must be completed during the student’s enrollment in a graduate program;
- The student must be currently enrolled in a master’s or doctoral level graduate program in interior design;
- The student must be first author and conference presenter AND indicate student status at the time of submission to the conference.
All students must follow the requirements set forth in the Call for Abstracts for Presentations or Posters. The JID BoD will review the abstracts and scores and will select the best submissions for anonymous review of presentation during the Annual Conference. The selected student will receive a cash award and will be recognized during the IDEC Annual Conference Award Ceremony.
