1965 Milestones
 
The IDEC minutes reflect that the members “discussed the possibility of establishing standards for the accreditation of schools by IDEC, and agreed to attempt the establishment of an ideal IDEC approved curriculum.” The proposed undergraduate curriculum recognizes the diversity in names of courses, number of credits assigned, and administrative housing of programs. Few universities offer graduate degrees in design, and those that do offer them in the general areas of art and design.
