    Member News: Rachel Pike Honored by Design New England magazine

    Congratulations Rachel Pike, IDEC member and Retired Chair of the Interior Design Department at Wentworth Institute of Technology for her recognition as a 2015 Mentor in Design. The Mentor in Design a.k.a. MIDDIES program was created in 2011 by Design New England to salute design professionals in interior design, architecture, building, landscape design, and related fields, who share their time, expertise, and wisdom with the next generation. Rachel was honored as Mentor of the Year at the Mentor in Design Awards ceremony at the Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston on May 19.

    2016 Student Design Competition

    The Student Design Competition, themed Shared Spaces: a community outreach and educational center, is now available in the Members Center. Students enrolled in undergraduate or graduate interior design programs that have at least one faculty member that is a member of IDEC are eligible to enter. We hope you will encourage your students to enter the 2016 competition by the deadline of December 31, 2015.
