These new ideas add to the revival of the Innovative Teaching Strategies first released in 1992 then updated in 1994. These legacy ideas, along with the 2015 'ITI' collection total 61 in number, and are now available here.

    [New] Call for Special Session Abstracts

    The Interior Design Educators Council (IDEC) invites design educators, practitioners, artists, and allied partners from around the globe to submit abstracts to a new scholarship category for 2017 - Special Session Topics. Intended to stimulate discourse on contemporary design contexts across formats, special session topics have been crafted that reach beyond the current scholarship categories, stimulate discussion on a topic of importance to the membership, and provide space for emerging issues relevant to interior space.

    Submit Your IDEC Annual Conference Scholarship By Oct. 10

    The Interior Design Educators Council invites educators from around the globe to submit their scholarship in the form of abstracts, creative scholarship, and/or Pecha Kucha presentations of creative teaching ideas. Submissions are double-blind reviewed by a panel of distinguished interior design educators who will recommend acceptance for presentation at the IDEC 2017 Annual Conference to be held in Chicago, March 8-12, 2017.

    2017 AAHID Graduate Research Fellowship

    AAHID is accepting applications for the 2017 Graduate Research Fellowship. The fellowship is designed to assist students in the exploration of the impact of interior design by supporting the development and conduct of research on healthcare interior environments. The fellowship is open to all graduate level students with this interest.
