IDEC Chicago 2017 Mobile App

We are very eager to welcome you to Chicago for the 2017 Annual IDEC Conference! This year's event has a number of new features that we are excited to share with you. One of the most notable is our mobile conference app. In keeping with our ongoing goal to reduce the amount of paper we consume, you will now be able to see all of the program materials on your digital device, connect and network with other conference attendees and much more!  Just follow these easy steps below to download the app and create your profile. Step 1: Download the App!

The first thing you'll need to do is download the app on the mobile device you're bringing to the event. In the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, search for IDEC 2017, then download the app to your mobile device.

You could also use your mobile device's QR code scanner to quickly find the IDEC 2017 Annual Conference app:

Step 2: Create & publish your profile

After downloading the app, click the menu button on the left-hand side of the Dashboard. Click My Profile to either fill out their information manually, or you have the option of clicking on the box with the down arrow to import your information from either LinkedIn or address book.

After you have filled out your information, click the Publish Profile button below. they would want to click that box if they want their information shared.

Once this step is complete, go back to the Dashboard and click the Refresh button at the top. You should now see an Attendees icon, where you can view the profiles of those in attendance of the conference.

Important Tips

  • Attendees can Build a Schedule simply by clicking on the Star icon next to the listed event.

  • Attendees are listed within the app, but only if that person has created and published their profile. If you see someone on the list you want to connect with, simply select that person and click the Handshake icon to schedule a meeting time.

  • You can view agendas by selecting either the day, a specific track or by simply searching through the app.

  • Don't forget to allow for notifications from this app! This is the best way to stay up to date on all the important things happening at the conference this year.

Concerned about not having a strong signal at the event hotel during the conference? Anxious about the idea of your battery dying right in the middle of building your event schedule? Don't worry - we have you covered! Our mobile app is native  - which means an internet connection is not needed to access any of its impressive features. And to help keep your batteries fully charged, we are providing attendees with a free “Juice” bar to power up mobile devices. There will also be other areas throughout the conference that will allow you to plug-in and power up.
