IDEC Regional Conferences -
Online Registration Open

Each of IDEC's five regions is hosting a conference this fall. Watch the Regions page of the IDEC website for details and link to the onine registration system.

Every IDEC member is assigned to a region so you'll have a conference relatively close to home but you are certainly welcome to attend any or all of the conferences.

Regional conferences are a great way to meet fellow members, learn from abstract and poster presentations as well as great speakers, and explore the unique offerings of a great city!

IDEC 2012 Annual Conference - Save the Date!

Plan now to attend IDEC's 2012 Annual Conference in Baltimore, MD March 19 - 22, 2012 at the Hyatt Regency Baltimore on the Inner Harbor.

The conference theme "Celebrating the Past - Shaping the Future" pays tribute to IDEC's 50th anniversary. A big thank you to Jeremy Bolton for designing the anniversary conference logo!

Watch for a "Save the Date" postcard with info on speakers, new features, and other details.

CIDA 2011 Innovative Interior Design Education Award

The Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA) announces the second annual award competition celebrating innovative teaching and program-related practices that advance the cause of excellence in interior design education. The competition is open to faculty members and collaborating teams at CIDA-accredited interior design program. Awards up to $3,000 are available. Award submissions due September 15, 2011.

ASID Foundation Announces Call for Submissions for Second Annual Research Grant Program
The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) Foundation announces the second annual Interior Design Research Grant Program, “Transform,” which focuses on applied research in interior design and human behavior. The program will award up to three grants of up to $35,000 each. Research proposals from interior designers, scientists and educators on how interior design impacts human behavior and well-being are being accepted through Oct. 3, 2011.
